Can I hookup a coax cable from my Sat reciever to LCD Monitor? It does not have a Coax input. Only BNC & RCA.? - bnc to rca adapter

I use a Dish Network DVR tuner (dual), and can slide over coaxial cable in the common area on the LCD monitor. I tried an adapter, the son of the coaxial cable then plugs into the video (yellow RCA) input, but does not work. If I had a long cable 60 "S-Video, which could run between the rooms would be a good thing, but of course I did not. I even tried connecting the cable to a stand-alone DVD with TV tuner but it has worked well.
